Anders KrohnAnders Krohn’s first kart-weekend of 2006 is over, and no results could have been better. ”I had some expectations as to be in the top when returning to karting, but not expectations as to win everything there was!”

Krohn started off his 2006 karting campaign with the national championship that was held June 24th and 25th. Krohn went on to win qualifying, heats, prefinal and final, but says the tension was high at every start. ”I havent done the ICC starting procedure since october last year and it was hard to get the starts to work as the gear ratio was really long at the norwegian Klepp Kart Ring.” Anders is however happy with the outcome and results of the weekend, beeing crowned as national champion 2006 in the king class, ICC.

It’s now the third time that Krohn has become national champion, with the two other years being 2003 and 2004. ”Last year it felt as if I was robbed from the title as I punctured two tires in the prefinal, only to start 17th in the final and then finish 2nd.”

July 15th-16th, Krohn will continue his seek for success in the JTCC. ”We are working hard on developing the car at the moment, and hoping to improving results with no more crashes nor technical failures.” JTCC is now entering its fourth race weekend and Krohn is currently in 10th place. ”I want to improve my position in the championship, but I think it will be made possible after further development on the car. Now I`m just looking forward to rounds 7 and 8, and want to do my best there!” Krohn ends.
