Rodolfo AvilaMacanese racing driver Rodolfo Avila is going to the final race of the International Formula Master (IFM) season at Monza, Italy. The Macau SAR will help Cram Competition to conquer teams title this weekend for rounds fifteen and sixteen of the championship on 6 and 7 October 2007.

The battle for top team is wide open with three outfits in close contention. Current leaders Avila’s Cram Competition are favourites with 114 points whilst J.D. Motorsport and Alan Racing are closely matched with 89 and 83 points respectively.

“I have to be realistic. This is the last race of the season and I cannot improve too much in the drivers championship standings so I’ll do my best to score valuable points for the team. Our objective is still to achieve 1st position in the Teams’ Championship, and I believe that this year it is truly possible. I know my team-mates Jêrome (D’Ambrosio) and Arturo (Llobell) are focus in the title too”, said Avila.

The Macau Government,, BNU, CESLAsia, PAL AsiaConsult, TsingTao, Fat Siu Lau Restaurant, Sujika Crafts and PT Asia supported driver was one the most unlucky drivers around IFM Paddock. The two previous tests at Monza finished earlier due to technical problems but Avila keeps his confidence high for the Italian race meeting.

Avila commented: “Monza is a high-speed track. It is the fastest on the IFM calendar. There are some very fast corners and a chicane where you jump heavily over the kerbstones. Monza is not an easy track and my opponents know the track very well from past championships. Anyway my team works very well together and I am convinced we will be pretty fast since the beginning”.
