Tyler Greenbury added two more state titles over the weekend to his ever growing kart racing resume.

Of the three premier classes contested he took first in both the Clubman Light and Leopard Light and 4th in the Rotax Light.

The Clubman Light final produced an absolute stellar performance by Greenbury as he started the race from 14th position on the grid. He was able to weave his magic through the field to eventually win by 20 kart lengths’ and in doing so defeated current Clubman Light national champion David Sera.

It was a more tradesman performance in the Leopard Light where Greenbury is the current national champion. He started on pole and was never headed to take the race comfortably by 60 metres.

It should have been three from three for the weekend in the Rotax Light if not for a shunt at the end of the straight which saw Tyler spin off and found himself in 12th spot. To his credit he drove determinedly to finish fourth.

‘I was very pleased with the results’ he said. He had special praise for his team, Col Watts, Tony Karts Australia, RacePrep Racing Team and pit crew, Col Watts, Peter Greenbury, David Kenneally and Shane Piper. ‘Without the support of a great crew these results wouldn’t come’ he said.

In the other class contested by the team Matt Greenbury placed second in the Leopard Heavy behind current national champion Kel Treseder.
