Seb MorrisChampionship leader Seb Morris is focused on increasing his early advantage in the Ginetta Junior title race at Donington Park next weekend, 16th/17th April, when the action packed series continues for rounds three and four of the 2011 season.

Having got his campaign off to a near-perfect start at Brands Hatch last weekend, the 15-year-old from Marford, near Wrexham, is delivering on his promise as one of the true pre-season favourites with two wins already in the bag and a 15-point lead at the top of the table.

“Everything went really well at Brands Hatch, all of our preparation came together and the races went as well as we could have expected”, said Seb, “We had the pace right from Friday testing and we need to make sure we do that every weekend, it’s so important to qualify at the front and give yourself the best possible chance of getting into an early lead.”

During last Sunday’s first two rounds of the Ginetta Junior Championship season, the Hillspeed driver underlined the pace, racecraft and tremendously high level of performance which brought him the 2010 Winter Series title last November.

At the flowing sweeps of Donington Park’s recently reinvigorated 1.98-mile National Circuit, Seb – a pupil at The King’s School, Chester – is aiming for continued success at the wheel of his Legat Owen and Liberty Properties Plc backed Ginetta G40.

The Leicestershire track, which always provides fantastic racing, was the venue for the youngster’s maiden car racing podium last year – an incredible achievement at the tender age of 14. Now, he’s relishing the chance to go back there as he bids to reinforce his championship lead.

Seb added: “I’ve only been up to Donington once since last season’s race so I haven’t got loads of experience of the track, although we did do quite well there last year as I took my first podium. We need to get as many points as we can and if we’re able to carry on the way we started at Brands then we should be able to fight for the podium in each race and, hopefully, two wins again.”

Following a short, 15-minute free practice session next Saturday, 16th April, qualifying for the third and fourth rounds of the 2011 Ginetta Junior Championship will take place at 13.45 with the opening race of the weekend scheduled to get underway at 17.20.

On Sunday, 17th April, round four will start at approximately 12.15 and will be featured live on ITV4, the ITV4 HD channel and online at as part of the network’s seven hour Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship broadcast which begins transmission at 11.00.
