Tambay & HaryantoThe Budapest round of Auto GP wasn’t just the occasion to crown Kevin Ceccon and Sergei Afanasiev as the race winners. It was also the second time in the season that the Prize Money was awarded, sharing 100.000 euros between the first three classified cars of the event.

If in Monza the much awaited prize went to Durango (60.000 euros), SuperNova (25.000 euros) and Lazarus (15.000) thanks respectively to the performances boasted by Giovanni Venturini, Luca Filippi and Fabio Onidi, the Hungarian weekend saw french team DAMS on top: thanks to the 28 clinched by Sergei Afanasiev and to the 26 points tally grabbed by Adrien Tambay, DAMS took both the first two places of the Event classification, winning an amazing 85.000 euros. Ombra grabbed the remaining 15.000 thanks to Kevin Ceccon’s win in Race 1 and the consequent 25 points.

With 5 events to go 500.000 euros are still up for grabs, an impressive figure that will push teams and driver to give everything they have on the racetrack.
