Isaac TutumluThe Spanish driver of Kurdish ancestry completed today´s qualifying session of the Porsche Supercup at Spa-Francorchamos, posting a best lap of 2:27.754 at the wheel of his FÖRCH Racing by Lukas Motorsport´s car.

Isaac Tutumlu has completed today the qualifying session for the penultimate meeting of the Porsche Supercup in 2012, which is held in Belgium. With his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup fielded by FÖRCH Racing by Lukas Motorsport, the Spanish driver of Kurdish heritage set a time of 2:27.754 in dry conditions, after yesterday´s free practice session was a wet one.

“It has been a difficult season for me. It wasn´t easy to have a good pace but at the end I managed to do it. With my first set of new tires I was blocked by other drivers, so my decision was to pit by then because my laps weren´t good enough. Unfortunately, I spun on my first lap with new tires, but I´ve improved from then on. Finally my best time was a lap of 2:27.754”, Tutumlu explained and adding that “my last lap was six tenths faster than my previous ones, but then the tires wear wasn´t that good. Under the circumstances my performance is good because I´ve kept improving lap by lap. It hasn´t been a bad comeback after summer break”.

Tomorrow´s race is going to start at 11,45 (CET), being broadcasted live on Eurosport once again, and is a new chance for “to achieve another good result and repeat similar previous results such as Hockenheim or Valencia races. Our chances are high because the race is probably to be in dry conditions. I´ve put experience under my belt today and, making a good start, it´s going to be possible overtake other cars and as always eying for top-ten, my target this season”.
