Facu RegaliaAfter his pole position during today´s qualifying session, the Argentine Campos Racing driver won on Sunday leading from the lights to the flag. After setting the fastest lap, he built a gap of seven seconds with his rivals at the end.

Facu Regalia clinched today his first victory ever in Formula 3 racing and the Argentine anthem was played during second race of Hungarian meeting for the European F3 Open. Regalia, with his Dallara F312 fielded by Campos Racing, was the fastest during Sunday´s qualifying session celebrated early in the morning. Today, avoiding any kind of clash coming from another driver, he didn´t give option to the rest of the field and, lap by lap, he built a gap impossible to be decreased by Sam Dejonghe or Gianmarco Raimondo, his closest opponents in race two.

“It was incredible. I can´t explain so many emotions coming to me right now. My start was good, and I knew that being leader my race pace was pretty good, and very fast in comparison with others. My car was perfect, and I appreciate that really incredible effort from Campos Racing, with an outstanding work since Thursday. My engineer played another key role, and we work perfectly together at Hungaroring. Incredible, I can´t describe that emotion after winning”, Regalia explained. In addition he said that “now come back old memories, for example that race at Mugello last year but, now it´s past. We need to enjoy today. This victory is for my family and friends, Campos Racing, fans supporting me and Argentina. It is going to be a morale booster. The title is impossible but now we´re eying for new wins during the remaining races”.

Next meeting for Regalia is scheduled at Monza, the penultimate meeting of 2012 season, on September 29th- 30th.
